Exactly one year ago, we stood in silence, staring at the smouldering remains of our Sacramento warehouse. Nearly everything was gone. Thousands of books, props, decks of cards, and irreplaceable memories all turned to ash in a matter of hours.
What followed was the most difficult year in our company’s fifteen-year history.
But it was also the most inspiring.
Within hours of the fire, messages of support flooded in. From customers. From friends. From celebrities. From magicians we’ve never even met. We had folks we barely knew offering to fly in and help us sift through the rubble.
It was at that moment, precisely, that we realized this: the magic industry is an incredible force for good. We know of few other industries that watch out for each other like family.
One step at a time, our team pulled together and made the impossible happen. Within a month, we were shipping to 51 countries. Within six months, we’d restored most of our product line. Today, we’re back—stronger, leaner, and more grateful than ever.
Here’s our big news: the warehouse rebuild begins this week. The fire caused irreparable damage to the warehouse we owned and operated from. Murphy’s Magic, our wholesale supplier, swooped in during our hour of need and allowed us to send orders from their facility. Eventually, we found rental space, which is where we remain today. However, we’ve finally cleared every hurdle and are breaking ground on a total rebuild of our warehouse in Sacramento. With a bit of good luck, we may be shipping your holiday orders from our newly rebuilt warehouse this November.
To our customers: thank you for sticking with us.
To our creators, friends, and partners: thank you for helping us rebuild.
To our team: thank you for showing what resilience really looks like.
And to the magic community: we’ll never forget what you did for us.
