Mike Shaw's Idiom is a multiple-phase miracle of mentalism!
A participant mixes a box of Scrabble tiles and takes a handful. Without looking, you instantly identify their highest and lowest value tiles. It doesn't stop there, as you begin naming increasingly complex words that they can spell with their tiles.
As a finale, you show that not only have you predicted the exact total value of their letters, but a word spelled with the letters they didn't choose as well!

Impossibly, you then take a solid metal screw and push it through! The screwed coin can be unwrapped and passed around for inspection.
