We’ve always enjoyed watching how bladesmiths create damascus steel knives. In most cases, these blades have a somewhat uniform pattern. Kyle Royer shows how he made a knife that started from a random arrangement of scrap metal, resulting in a one-of-a-kind organic pattern. Its unique handle is just as artful. The custom knife sold for $2400.
