We are delighted to reveal decorated samples for our newly tooled range of EXCLUSIVE SR 'Light Pacific' "Battle of Britain/ West Country" Class 4-6-2 Steam locomotives in OO Gauge - releasing as part of the Dapol Black Label premium range!
While these are early samples for the design team to review, we are very pleased with how these are shaping up and we're sure you'll agree that they look absolutely stunning.
These all new models are the most advanced 'Light Pacifics' ever including pre-fitted DCC Sound and Steam Generator features, full diecast construction, working front lamps and headcodes (with user configurable destinations), firebox glow effect and so much more.
These models have been immensely popular and pre-ordering is highly recommended! Range currently expected to arrive Q3 2026.

As part of this update, we're also pleased to reveal a new addition to the range which many of you have been asking for - 34051 'Winston Churchill' in BR green with late crest.

Rails of Sheffield is delighted to announce the opening of it's all new Station Shop at Sheffield Railway Station - opening as part of our Special Black Friday Weekender Event on Saturday 29th November 2025!
It's been a long time coming and we're pleased to let our loyal customers know that our highly anticipated NEW STORE LOCATION at Sheffield Railway Station is set to open this month on Saturday 29th November. This additional destination for model railway fans is set to open at the Grade II listed historic station, welcoming visitors into the wonderful world of railway modelling and showcasing what our hobby has to offer.
Come along and join us for the official ribbon cutting with Pete Waterman OBE, explore what our new shop has to offer and then take a ride on a piece of Sheffield transport history to our main shop to indulge in even more model railway fun at our special Black Friday Weekender event!

We're delighted to announce our latest EXCLUSIVE OO Gauge model produced in partnership with Locomotion Models, the National Railway Museum and Bachmann Europe - the mighty NER Independent Snowplough!
The North Eastern Railway’s wooden bodied snowplough is now available for the first time as a ready to run model. Used across the North East of England to keep important routes open during the harsh Winter months, the distinctive vehicles, most often used in pairs, can now find a home on your layout too. This impressive vehicle is supplied either as a single model in NER livery or as twin packs in LNER and BR colours. Engineering samples have been revealed with decorated samples expected shortly.

Accurascale have announced the latest edition to their OO Gauge diesel locomotive range this week - with a newly tooled "Gronk"!
The brand are set to recreate the iconic Class 08 in a huge variety of liveries - and also, for the first time, the oft-forgotten Class 10 variant as well as 'cut-down' (low profile) Class 08/9 variations converted for the BP&GV line in Wales.
