This November, Rails of Sheffield is set to welcome one of the most exciting collections ever to land in our Vintage Toys & Trains department — a truly galactic line-up of over 100 Lego Star Wars sets, all in factory-sealed, as-new condition.
Discovered right here in Yorkshire, the collection includes everything from classic early releases to one of the rarest Lego sets ever made: the legendary Cloud City (set no. 10123).
When Lego and Star Wars first joined forces back in 1999, it changed the toy world forever. Lego — already the world’s biggest toy brand — had never before entered into a major licensing deal. But their partnership with Lucasfilm turned out to be something truly special.
From just five sets in 1999, the range has exploded over the past 25 years to include more than 900 sets and nearly 1,400 minifigures, delighting builders and collectors around the world.
🧱 The Yorkshire Collection
This incredible collection, now proudly housed in Sheffield, covers the golden years of 1999–2007 — including the first ten Lego Star Wars sets ever released. Every box remains unopened, with pristine packaging and original seals intact.
The crown jewel of the collection is, without doubt, the Cloud City (10123) set, released in 2003 and now one of the most sought-after Lego sets of all time. Featuring the ultra-rare green Boba Fett minifigure — itself worth several thousand pounds — this set remains factory sealed and even includes its original receipt (£69.99). It will be available for £7,500.
But this event isn’t just for elite collectors. With prices starting from under £20, there’s something for everyone — from lifelong Lego enthusiasts to families looking for a special piece of Star Wars nostalgia.
