Pen Thru Bill... With Proof!
The pen thru bill is an absolute classic of magic, and it's not hard to figure out why. It's easy to carry, easy to do, and defies the spectators expectations. Here's the problem, though. Nearly every magic kit will come with some form of pen thru bill. That means, a large portion of your potential audiences will understand how the trick works.
But what if there was a pen thru bill that could do something that no pen thru bill should be able to do? Well, then you've got yourself the perfect convincer to a perfect plot.
We worked with Bizarro and Danny Weiser to create this impossible pen, and the result is Write-Thru: the only pen thru bill effect that allows you to click open your pen, and actually write with it mid-performance.
If you know how the trick works, then you know that shouldn't be possible. Just imagine how a layperson will feel!
The performance is elegance exemplified. You borrow a bill from a spectator, stab your pen through the center, and... click. Despite being on opposite sides of the bill, the ink nib dutifully responds when the button is pressed. Click. And it retracts. Now you remove the pen, and magically heal the bill. Oh, and you can pass out the pen for inspection before and after.
