Four identical, elegant, white cups sit on a table. Though they might not look like much, they allow you to perform unbelievable feats of mentalism. This is Psionic, the latest innovation from Bond Lee, Stephen Chan, and MS Magic.
Psionic makes use of powerful technology so you can know without a shadow of a doubt, which one your spectator chooses.
For example, each cup is filled with a different soda. You tell your audience that they are welcome to try any drink they'd like. You turn your back (or leave the room completely) while they make their selection. When you turn back, you can instantly tell them which soda they tried.
This is the type of device that acts a springboard for your creativity! You don't have to use soda. You can add candies, marbles, or anything that will fit in the cup. If you place a marker in each, then you've turned Psionic into a color match.
We've been performing around the office, and our favorite method involves pretending to have a super-sensitive nose that's able to smell a hint of the spectator's chosen drink in the air. But I bet you'll find your own way of adapting this into your repertoire.
