Aside from sawing a woman in half or pulling a rabbit from a hat, it's hard to think of a more widely-performed effect than John Cornelius's Pen through Anything. Cornelius wasn't satisfied with just making one of the most recognizable magic tricks of all time, he needed to make it absolutely perfect.
