Exploit a psychological glitch to perfect your mentalism
Mentalism and psychology collide in this masterful routine that makes you feel like a real mind reader. Check out Chroma by Mark Lemon.
It takes the human brain a split second longer to process the name of a color if the font it's written in is a different color. Mark has prepared a seriously fooling mentalism act built around this psychological principle.
You hand out a card printed with these mismatched colors, and ask your spectator to think of one, saying you're going to test their ability to find it on the card. After they have finished, you can tell them the exact color they were thinking of!
That's just the starting point, though! Mark will teach you the questions to ask to create associations with these colors, allowing you to reveal intimate details about your spectator that make this pocket-sized EDC play far bigger than you'd imagine.
Best of all, there's no memory work needed. Your gimmick is also a cleverly-disguised crib sheet!
Chroma is available at any Murphy's Magic dealer, or you can check out with our featured dealer, Hocus Pocus!
