A Colorful Routine Awaits
At Murphy's, we spend all day, every day thinking about magic, locked away in our private mystical sanctuary in an undisclosed location outside of Sacramento. As such, we usually only get to see people perform our tricks on our screens.
But when we get to emerge from our sanctum sanctorum, and interact with the magical community at large, it's a feeling unlike any other.
At Blackpool Magic Convention this year, we walked up to the booth of Warped Magic, where were greeted by an incredible young magician performing a trick that we put out called Ghost Deck.
This young man set aside two cards for the Ghost Deck (say 3 of Spades and 10 of Diamonds), and handed the rest to us. He started dealing down and gave us the opportunity to stop wherever we wanted. He marked that spot with one of his two cards. This process is repeated, and he marked the spot with the other card.
Even though we were in full control, he revealed that the cards we landed on were the pairs to his cards: 3 of Clubs and 10 of Hearts.
But that's not it. Flipping over all four cards, he revealed they are the only ones in the whole deck that have matching back designs.
But even that's not it. He flipped through the rest of the deck and show that every single other card has been blank all along!
This is an effect that is powerful in the hands of any performer. The young man who performed this was able to blow our minds even though we were the ones who made the trick! Imagine what you'll be able to accomplish.
