You bring out our phone, which has the gps tracking app pulled up. Suddenly, as you're describing the trick. The app displays 'no battery.' Little does your audience know, but the magic has already happened.
When the spectator holding the coin opens their hand, the coin is gone and is replaced with a button cell battery.
If the battery is there, that can only mean one thing! You open up the tracker, and in the battery compartment is their signed coin!
