A magician might pick your pocket. A real wizard will do this. The paddle move is one of magic's easiest and most reliable sleights, but it always raises the question: "wait, what is a hot rod?" Daryl pushed things in the right direction with Dicey Dots, but it still heavily relied on convincing your audience that a spot-removing wand is a totally normal thing. Craig Petty has finally cracked the code with his newest* release, Credit Crunch. This modernization of Dicey Dots replaces the die with a credit card, and the dots with that 16-digit number. Pass out a credit card, and have your audience take note of the number emblazoned on it. Then pull out a normal-looking sharpie. As the marker passes over the credit card, the numbers disappear. Turning the sharpie over, you show they are now physically embossed on the side of the pen, raised the same way they were on the card. Craig Petty also built in some powerful mentalism, carefully selecting which digits to print on the sharpie to unlock even more routines. We love the idea of opening an act with Credit Crunch and then continuing to use the impossible sharpie throughout the rest of your performance. Credit Crunch is available at any Murphy's Magic dealer, or you can check out with our featured dealer, Stevens Magic Emporium! *Given Craig's prolific output, we cannot guarantee that this is indeed his newest release as you read this.
