"Impossible" has never felt so fair
Get ready to experience the gold standard of what you can accomplish with a borrowed coin. What you can accomplish with Puncture by Alex Linian.
You start by approaching a group of spectators, with normal, Papermate pen in hand. It's the kind that you could pick up at almost any store. You ask to borrow a quarter, a small price to pay to see something unforgettable.
You take their coin, and tap the tip of the pen against it. You repeat this motion, making sure your aim is perfect. When you're satisfied, you put a little more heat on the movement, and the pen fully penetrates the coin, the metal visually punctured, with scraps hanging off the pen.
You pause in that moment, letting the impossibility hang in the air. Remarkably, the coin is affixed to the end of the pen. You can't shake it off if you try. Hand it out for inspection, and your spectators will see there is no removing the coin.
For the finale, you rip the coin off of the pen, and magically restore it. The massive hole is fixed.
You don't often find magic that looks this organic. The plot is simple enough to follow but filled to the brim with paradoxes. There's never going to be a bad time to perform Puncture.
Puncture is available at any Murphy's Magic dealer, or you can check out with our featured dealer, Magic and Cards!
