For nearly a decade, Tarantula II has been the most-trusted levitation device available to the modern magician. But at the beginning of 2025, it pulled a different trick and Vanished from our shelves.
Its absence was not without cause. Over the past year, Yigal Mesika has been tinkering with and optimizing Tarantula II, making sure it's the greatest, most-reliable version of this effect that's ever been put to market.
What does it do?
For those unfamiliar, the Tarantula series allows you to defy gravity in the most incredible way. With two free hands, you are able to levitate objects, control their momentum, and even determine where they land. Imagine borrowing a ring, making it float, and having it land gently back on the hand of your spectator.
That's the power we're talking about.
What makes this new version so special?
1) The battery life has been given a huge upgrade. While older models were good for about 50 performances, you can reliably expect 100 with this new version.
2) The motor has been completely revamped. The 2026 Tarantula II offers 15-20% more torque. This means performances that are more precise, smoother, and stronger.
3) Updated instructions. Magic instructions have come a long way in the past decade. These instructions now make the routines more intuitive, making each effect a breeze to master.
