A spectator freely thinks of any card. You make a simple wager, placing three poker chips into their hands as you attempt to identify different elements of their card: the value, the color, and the suit.
The brilliance of the effect is that it doesn’t matter whether your guesses are correct.
At the conclusion, the spectator turns over the poker chips they’ve been holding the entire time. Printed on the backs are the exact words needed to name their card, revealing that you knew their selection from the very beginning.
