Something interesting arrived at my desk today. In an unassuming package, I found Contrast by Vanshy.
I was absent-mindedly playing with the gimmick while talking to a coworker and when as a I dropped the deck, I saw their jaw dropped in unison. I knew I was holding something special.
Contrast is the an instant and visual resolution to the classic Triumph routine. A deck is shuffled together and half of the cards are face up, and half face down. Then, you reveal you have magically turned them all to face the same direction. All of them aside from your spectator's chosen card.
