For Auld Lang Syne
Every year, we choose to sing the same three words as the clock strikes midnight and dawn brings with it the promise of a brand new year: Auld Lang Syne. When translated from the original Scots, it would literally be 'old long since', but it approximates to something like "times long past".
As time keeps moving forward, and each passing year grows thinner, it grows increasingly difficult to conceive of the start of a single year being a long past time. Still, when reflecting on the entirety of the last 365 days, so much has transpired that, in fact, it feels miraculous that it only took a single year.
For the first time in years, we added a new item to our Anverdi collection with the brand new Anverdi Spirit Bell and Anverdi Spirit Bell Deluxe. At the same time, we were developing brand new effects, lighting the world with Firefly by Titanas or doing complex equations with Lloyd Barnes and Craig Petty's Savant Deck. We brought one of the most impressive magical tomes ever, Annemann: The Life and Times of a Legend.
Outside of our own productions, we saw so many incredible releases from across the magical community. Some standouts like Daniel Garcia's One Card, Chris James's The Button, and Calen Morelli's Quantum Aperture are already inducted into the hallowed halls of the Instant Classic.
Of course, we did more than just release product this year. We got to connect with so many of magicians and friends during livestreams and at conventions. And, of course, we hosted our first ever charity sale, raising $16,125 the Young Magician's Club!
It's been an incredible 2025 here at Murphy's, and we can't wait to see what we'll do together this year.
