Ever scroll down the Meh home page? Past the gallery of product images and its movie meme (apparently today’s is “Oblivion”). Past the buy button and Meh face you forgot to click till now. Past our product story where a power bank leads our writer to complain about getting old. Down around our daily poll and other stats, we’ve got that “How’d you get here” section.
At the moment, we’ve got DealNews in the lead, with Twitter and Facebook just behind (sorry, I’m still not calling it X), and then a couple other deal sites who liked today’s power bank deal. (Oh yeah, did we mention you should pick up today’s power bank if you…need a power bank?)
But here’s a funny thing. One of the biggest fans of our deals, SlickDeals, whose community regularly posts and upvotes our deals takes extra steps to hide themselves from our referrer list. And that’s because…actually, I have no idea. To be honest, it’s fine, we don’t care that much, but it does just seem strange that their crowd loves us, are snatching up these power banks at a good pace, but they’d like to keep the whole thing secret. I hope I’m not blowing their cover by mentioning it, I just thought it was an interesting behind-the-scenes quirk to let you all in on. And if any of you got here from Slickdeals, drop in the forum and say hi!
Regardless of how you got here, odds are you’re on a battery powered device. So before you run out of power, you should probably grab today’s Meh before your battery icon looks like our Meh face (which, again, you probably forgot to click).
