British artist Liz West is best known for her wide-ranging works, from the intimate to the monumental. Using a variety of materials, she creates vivid environments that mix luminous colour and radiant light. Together, we have selected a series of three artworks from the artist’s extensive archive of drawings and works on paper, which have been translated into an exclusive series of limited edition prints.
Liz will be showing her latest installation Our Spectral Vision at the Future Tense: Art in the Age of Transformation exhibition at York Art Gallery, which will run alongside the Aesthetica Art Prize 2025.
As a finalist of the art prize in 2016, and displaying alongside fellow past finalists, the artist collective Squidsoup, the exhibition highlights the prize’s role as a vital platform for talent development and cultivation. The exhibition runs from 19th September – 25th January 2026.
Created with love and playfulness, Liz’s meticulously handcrafted original artworks explore the profound connection between colour, and the psychological and physical responses they evoke.
