Aphex Twin’s monumental 2001 double album is returning to vinyl for the first time in more than two decades – and will also be available on CD again.
Drukqs divided opinion when it was first released. Its sprawling tracklist shifted uncompromisingly between frenetic electronic breakbeats and strange, atmospheric ambient passages, bringing the two extremes of Aphex Twin’s sound together in one wildly unpredictable album. Its lengthy runtime and dramatic stylistic shifts weren’t for everyone, but today Drukqs is widely regarded as a masterpiece and features some of the most celebrated tracks of his career, including the beautiful piano piece "Avril 14th", which has enjoyed a surprising resurgence on social media in recent years.
