When we started Idiya in 2016, our first location was a converted old car workshop at the rear of 34B Greenpark Road.
We were lucky.
Nick, the kind landlord from NZ Labour Hire, gave us a chance — a lease when we barely looked like a business.
But the space? It wasn’t showroom ready.
It was covered in engine oil stains.
So before the first customer ever walked in, we spent a week doing the only thing we could afford: We scrubbed.
Buckets. Brushes. Elbow grease.
It wasn’t pretty. But it mattered.
Because that floor, once clean, became our first store.
The start of what would one day serve over 100,000 Kiwi families.
