Vintage, Antique & Collectible Auction Sunday 7th - 12th August 2025
Hayward’s has prepared another of our popular Vintage, Antique & Collectable timed online auctions and it’s a huge one at 971 lots, so there’s bound to be something of interest for you here. Bidding starts at 5:00pm today, Thursday the 7th of August with the first lots closing on Tuesday the 12th at 6:00pm.

Motorised model boats, very cool vintage Dunedin and Invercargill bus blinds, a fabulous French 1970s Solex 5000 moped in going condition (check out the video on Facebook!) and a bunch of 1980s video game consoles – Sega, Atari, Tunix, Hanimex, Fountain, Sega Game Gear, Casio and other handheld games, and some vintage Escalado and Magic Robot games as well. Vintage railway fans will be very interested in the NZR and other railway lamps and lanterns, a large and heavy 2-piece railway crossing sign, NZR Workshops cast metal plates and plaques, a large assortment NZR / Crown Lynn crockery and more. Other enamel and painted metal signs include a fantastic Goodyear double sided tyre sign.
There’s a nice assortment of 45s from some great New Zealand bands including two copies of The Chills’ Pink Frost, and some very nice acoustic guitars including Framus and Gibson jumbo dreadnoughts, retro Bellini and Stella acoustics, a resonator and a 12-string. There are wind-up gramophones, hand-crank telephones, vintage NZ landscape photographs, glass plate negatives, unframed Whites Aviation photos, some very nice George Chance photos and other photo, postcard and stamp albums, collectable bank notes and coins. Costume, fine gold and silver jewellery with rings including an 18ct sapphire & diamond cluster, 9ct white opal and an 18ct 3-stone sapphire & diamond.
Youll find African, middle-eastern and Asian daggers, knives and swords, clubs, carved masks, beaten copper ewers and jugs, a copper thermette, tea urn, watering can and kettles, etched brass military souvenir tankards, vintage coat hooks, a cast metal letter slot, bicycle and miner’s lamps, postage and other balance & spring scales, oil bottles and pourers, cast metal model cars, New Zealand airline collectables, local history, military, railway and art books, some signed by the authors.
We have a wonderful assortment of vases – uranium glass, Crown Lynn, Stepa, Orzel and Aquila, Royal Worcester, Clarice Cliff, Moorcroft, Portmeirion, Bitossi, German pottery, art glass, Italian, Victorian glass, Mary Gregory style, vintage European, New Zealand studio pottery and polished brass shell cases. Lalique vase and doves, scent bottles, Dunedin souvenir ruby glass, art glass paperweights, limited edition Kosta Boda and other glass and crystal items, vintage light shades, a Maori motif carved timber table lamp.
Palissy Regatta tableware, a Japanese lithophane tea set, Royal Albert, Paragon, Coalport, Bavarian and other tea sets and trios, vintage Royal memorabilia and tea ware, Royal Doulton Kings ware witch & cauldron teapot, Poole Aegean items, Royal Dux, Beswick, Doulton flambe, Blue Mountain and other animal figures, a retro porcelain panther, Chinese terracotta head, Doulton, Coalport, Royal Copenhagen and other figurines. Brass animals, carved stone and timber elephants, faux ivory ornaments, Chinese lamp bases, figurines and cloisonne temple jars.
