Vintage, Antique & Collectable Auction 15th - 20th of May.
Hayward’s has prepared another of our popular Vintage, Antique & Collectable timed online auctions and with over 840 lots, there’s bound to be something of interest! Bidding starts at 5:00pm on Thursday the 15th of May with the first lots closing on Tuesday the 20th at 6:00pm.
There’s a large RC motorised cargo ship model, a vintage rocking horse, a W.M White Dunedin salt-glazed water filter base, boxed collectable Doctor Who figures, a great assortment of New Zealand, Italian and other art glass vases, paperweights, bowls and ornaments. NZ studio and commercial pottery items, Crown Lynn vases, German pottery, Blue Mountain, Royal Doulton character jugs, and animal figures including metal and ceramic kiwi, Beswick leaping trout and draft horses, a Bitossi red bull, brass dolphins, a leather covered camel.
We also have a nice range of brass fire dogs, nutcrackers, vases, spirit kettles, Indian money boxes, religious figures, trivets, birds, and a very a loud school bell. Cloisonne ware, travel alarms, watches, costume brooches, silver jewellery, Persian style wool floor rugs, an Eames style leather lounger with foot-stool, a wide range of Denby Greenwheat baking and table ware, retro Branksome Crown Lynn / Brereton Fleurette, Minton, Grindley dinner ware and the usual wide range of fine china tea ware from Royal Albert, Shelley, Royal Doulton, Crown Ducal, Hammersley and more.
There’s a cast brass NZR Workshops circular locomotive plaque, Regency style long-case clock, antique and retro mantel and wall clocks, wall barometers, a world globe themed drinks cabinet, vintage spring scales, gold scale weights, microscopes, vintage Singer leatherworking sewing machine, a very cool vintage coal scuttle with brass door mechanism, stoneware crocks, marble bottles, copper and brass items, fishing gear, large tapa cloths, polished stones and mineral samples, carved timber figures and ornaments, collapsible tables, inlaid boxes and a large carved camphorwood chest.
You’ll find a grand nouveau style mirror-back buffet sideboard in the entrance way, Victorian leather and fabric upholstered settees, chairs and piano stools, Davenports, tables, plant stands, inlaid loo tables and whatnots. Edwardian settees, dining suites, chests and sideboards, and a wide variety of occasional chairs and tables, mid-century bedroom furniture, desks, display cabinets and bookshelves.
Framed photos, watercolours, acrylic and oil paintings include New Zealand landscape paintings, George Chance photographs, reproduction regency style gilt-framed still lifes. We also have limited edition prints, vintage Dunedin and other postcards, matchbox labels, stamp albums, vintage books, numerous issues of “Photograms of the Year” – the list goes on, and it’s all ready for viewing now.
