Animation Art
In this original concept painting for Sleeping Beauty, celebrated Disney artist Eyvind Earle depicts Princess Aurora in glorious color and detail. Here, framed by her tower window, the princess lies in a deep sleep, a curse that can only be broken by true love's kiss. This stunning piece, complete with the stairwell from which Prince Phillip emerges to waken Aurora from her slumber, had a significant impact on the final film and closely resembles the image seen at the 1:11:09 mark of the 1959 classic.

World Coins
This exceedingly rare Pattern offers a glimpse into the implementation of the Ducaton as a denomination of United East India Company coinage. Originally conceived in the Seven Provinces in 1659, the Ducaton came to fruition during a century in which the Netherlands was at the peak of its influence around the globe. The horse and rider design became synonymous with Dutch power in the colonialist era, so it was only natural for the motif to be employed in Company coinage.

Trading Card Games
Twenty-seven years ago, the grand prize for an illustration contest publicized in CoroCoro Comic was one of 23 copies of a Pokémon trading card featuring the character Pikachu holding a fountain pen. Two subsequent contests awarded eight copies each, making a total of 39 copies in distribution. Today, they are the most treasured cards in the Pokémon Trading Card Game community. This example, featuring artwork by Atsuko Nishida, is one of just 15 certified Mint 9 graded Pikachu Illustrator cards.
