Our May 13 Imperial Fabergé
& Russian Works of Art Signature® Auction features more than
100 exceptional works by Fabergé. A major highlight is the Fabergé Heritage
Collection, comprising 60 pieces spanning all major object types made before
the Russian Revolution, including jewels,
hardstone
carvings and other objets de vertu. These items, many of which have never
been at auction or seen in decades, served as archival reference for the
revived Fabergé brand. Other highlights include imperial items linked to the
Romanovs, a
rare Fabergé punch set by Feodor Rückert, and highly sought-after Fabergé clocks
and watches,
including pieces with noble provenance.

In
1925, at the height of the Jazz Age, an exposition of modern design in Paris
would come to define the 20th century and coin the term "Art
Deco." On May 14, our Pursuit of Beauty
auction celebrates the centennial of the Exposition
Internationale des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes with spectacular
furnishings by participants in the legendary Paris Exposition, including Albert
Cheuret's extraordinary Hibou
(Owl) console and a rare set
of 12 Cannelle chairs by Émile-Jacques Ruhlmann from
the collection of Andy Warhol. The auction also offers more than 30 works by
Tiffany Studios, ranging from leaded
lamps to Favrile
vases.

Website Tips: Bid Protection
|
Bid Protection allows you to ensure you are not outbid by automatically increasing your bid to the next full increment if you are outbid during the live event. This protects you from being "sniped" by a single increment. Bid Protection can be entered on all items except the current lot and the next upcoming lot in a Live Auction.
Note: The extra increment won't be placed until the item is up for live bidding, so it is possible that you could be outbid by a bid placed prior to live bidding, such as another proxy bid, live proxy bid, mail bid, etc., which could result in your losing the lot by that one increment. For the same reason, it is also possible that a currently losing bid with bid protection placed could potentially win the lot once the lot is subject to live bidding and the Bid Protection increment(s) is placed.

Serious collectors know a must-have treasure when they see one, and that was exactly what happened when a massive Justh & Hunter gold ingot crossed the auction block at Heritage Auctions’ April 30-May 4 CSNS US Coins Signature® Auction in which numerous new auction records were set. The last of 60 bids drove the final result for the ingot to $2.13 million to lead the total for the event to $31,691,002.
That total, when added to the $9,406,921 CSNS US Currency Signature®
