The 19th Estuary Art and Ecology Awards return to UXBRIDGE Arts and Culture from 5 July – 31 August 2025, showcasing contemporary art inspired by the Tāmaki Estuary’s environmental challenges and beauty. With a $9,800 prize pool, the awards are Aotearoa’s only art competition focused on ecological themes.
Judged by Professor Hannah Buckley, the competition invites artists to explore the estuary’s significance through their work. Entries open 4 April – 23 May 2025, with the winners announced on 5 July. A People’s Choice Award will be revealed at the exhibition’s close.
