Dunbar Sloane achieved outstanding results in our March Fine Art Auction including the Sir Robert Jones Estate. Eager bidding in the room and online resulted in strong prices for Peter Siddell, Robert Ellis, Pat Hanly, & Gottfried Lindauer. We also reached a record price for Liam Barr’s portrait Faethm of $34,000, more than tripling the previous record for the artist at auction.
With sustained demand for quality and accurate estimates, we achieved 80% sell through rate and 97% sell by value rate. The highest sell through rate in New Zealand.
