When Vista starts, the Windows Security center tells me that my AVG had been turned off (underneath Malware protection). I clicked on "Turn on now" and it said "you are about to run a program that did not come with vista. Do you trust this program?" I clicked "Yes I trust this program and am ready to run it". I clicked on it but then nothing showed up.... I don't get what's wrong?

If it isn't the very latest, go to their website and download the current version. Uninstall the one you have and install the new one. If that works, you're done. oops my apologies. But yes, it's the newest version of AVG.
