I have an HP 7180 all in one, which I bought last year after getting my new Vista (Home Premium) PC as my previous printer had no Vista drivers available. I find that often the printer will print only part of the page - to about half-way down. Sometimes rebooting the PC will resolve this, but other times that has no effect. Today even a cold boot of both PC and printer failed to produce a complete print. I copied the document to an XP laptop from where it printed correctly, so this does seem to be a Vista problem. I have updated Vista to SP1 and have checked the HP site for updated printer drivers (there are none - the only ones are dated March 2007). Can anyone offer any suggestions to enable me to print complete pages every time? -- foxycat Posted via http://www.vistaheads.com
The drivers have become corrupted..... uninstall and reinstall: http://www.coribright.com/windows/Article_One.htm -- Cari (MS-MVP) Printing & Imaging www.coribright.com/windows "foxycat" wrote in message news:foxycat.3dq80g@no-mx.forums.vistaheads.com... > > I have an HP 7180 all in one, which I bought last year after getting my > new Vista (Home Premium) PC as my previous printer had no Vista drivers > available. > I find that often the printer will print only part of the page - to > about half-way down. Thanks - but the article you linked to relates to XP and a printer connected directly to a PC. I have Vista and the printer is networked (wireless), not connected to a PC. It works fine from an XP PC (also on the network) and sometimes from the Vista one. -- foxycat Posted via http://www.vistaheads.com
It's exactly the same procedure. -- Cari (MS-MVP) Printing & Imaging www.coribright.com/windows "foxycat" wrote in message news:foxycat.3drng2@no-mx.forums.vistaheads.com... > > Thanks - but the article you linked to relates to XP and a printer > connected directly to a PC.
