I have a new Vista64 bit operating system machine with two HP printers installed. I can print from the direct connected machine just fine. However the two networked machines, one is Vista32 bit and the other is Windows XPpro, will not print. They will send the job and you can see the job on the Vista64 machine but it will not print the job. Any ideas?
No solution... I have the same problem. Recently upgraded old XP main system to Vista64 with 2 usb printers attached. I can print to the printers from the local machine but cannot print from our wireless XP laptops back to the Vista64 system. I have tried to add additional driver support for x86 system in the Vista printer control panel, but I get an error that states the x86 driver is incompatible with this computers architecture. The LT's will print fine if I plug the usb cable in direct from the printer(s) to the XP machines. But thats the point of WiFi so I DONT have to go plug into the printer every time. Your problem can probably be fixed with 'this' (http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/170811-setting-up-shared-printer-xp-vista.html) tutorial. I have set mine up this way and it makes it quite easy to print. Our host is a XP with 1 printer attached and we have 1 Vista and 1 XP Laptop Connected this way. Also try to download the drivers for your printer from the Canon page first, and then attach the printers.
