Access file shared shows up read only
we installed a sbs 2003 r2 server and created an all share directory with
permissions set for everyone to have full control. I moved a Access .mdb
file to it and can read/write from one Vista ultimate machine but on another
it will only show up as read only. I tried logging in under the same name as
the one it works on, as well as the admin, and all I get is read only. I can
read-write from other machines running Access 2003 but the machine that will
not read/write is using Office 2007. The other Vista ultimate machine is
also running Office 2007 and works just fine. It seems to be that machine
not login ids or user permissions as I tried the same user and it works on
one but not the other.

Re: Access file shared shows up read only
*ensure network discovery is on
ensure file sharing is on
ensure public folder sharing is on
ensure printer sharing on
ensure password protected sharing off
ensure media sharing is on*
