High! I'm going to buy a laptop and I want to connect it to a desktop to transfer data between them. I was told that I'll have to use a net cable (RJ45) but I do not know how to configure Windows Vista. Can someone tell me how to do that? Thanks,

What I want is just connecting two computers to transfer data and disconnect them after data is transferred. I don't want to use any hub, just a cable. That's OK. But do I have to configure both PCs or Windows Vista from each PC recognizes the other one?
