Note book: HP pavilion dv6627om PC Windows Media Center 2G ram When playing a dvd after about 1hr or so, it goes blank. I can still get audio for a while & then locks up my computer. I have to shut down with the on/off. When bringing it back up, putting in movie again. It says all drivers shut down & it must close. If I don't click OK it plays the movie. I have removed the driver & reloaded it. I have tried to get updated driver.. says best driver is installed. Nothing I do seems to help. Anyone have some advise for me?? TY in advance
First thing is to discover whether the DVD drive had gone bad or not. Connect an external DVD player via USB and see if playing different types of DVD's does or does not create the same problems. You may have to buy an extra DVD player from Best Buy or someplace like that (under $100), but it's good to own one as a backup. -- oscar :) ...Right click is your very good friend...
