Message Rule Not Working
I have a Message Rule that states if the From field contains a certain word
to send the mail to the Deleted Items folder but Windows mail doesn't
send all matching criteria to the Deleted Folder. Some remain in the Inbox.
Is there something I'm missing?
Also, will changing my email address prevent me from receiving some 80
to 100 of these annoying emails a day or will it be a matter of time before
I
start getting these again?

Thanks,
James

Re: Message Rule Not Working
We can't comment on your message rule failure unless you
post the complete message rule here.

The amount of spam you get is directly related to where all
your email address is published. Once the spammers get your
new email address, they sell and trade it among themselves,
so the problem escalates quickly.

Some people like third party anti-spam solutions like
MailWasher.

Re: Message Rule Not Working
I'm using MailWasher and like it so far.
So, changing my email really wouldn't do much good?
Sell and trade?! What a racket!!

Thanks much,
James

Re: Message Rule Not Working
Changing your email address will only help as long as you
are extremely careful about who gets to see it. But human
nature being what it is, slipups will occur, and eventually
the new address would get just as much spam.
Thanks for the good report on MailWasher.
