Linksys WUSB54G disconnects when antoher USB device is diconnected   

I have PC running Windows Vista Ultimate. When I connect and then disconnect 
another USB device my USB network adapter, a Linksys WUSB54G, disconnects 
from the network. I can fix the problem by disconnecting the USB cable from 
the USB network adapter and then reconnecting it. It is an annoying problem. 
I didn't have this problem with Windows XP. Can anyone help?
