I have a direct attached Color LaserJet 5. Vista finds the equipment and loads the driver but fails on the print test. The data light is lit but nothing happens and the page is deleted from the print queue. Any ideas on how to get this printer working?
Hi Phil, HP states the following.... >>>>If your printer currently uses either a PCL5, PCL6 or PostScript XP >>>>driver you may download the current XP driver from HP to provide >>>>printing functionality. Windows Vista printing is very similar to >>>>Windows XP and most print drivers supported in the XP environment for >>>>LaserJet printers may also work in the Windows Vista operating system. >>>>If you are using the new Windows Vista operating system on your PC you >>>>may want consider an upgrade to a newer HP product that will work with >>>>Microsoftâs new Vista operating system.<<<< I would try the XP drivers and see if that works for you. Uninstall the printer first and reboot your system. -- All the best, SG "phil allen" wrote in message news:C7F011E4-8CC2-4558-9883-2EAB69E624A6@microsoft.com... >I have a direct attached Color LaserJet 5.
