Display screen goes balck and and pc locks up   
I have vista premium and ATI radeon 2600 xt..and i have problems when 
playing some AVI,xvid,divx,,files..my computer screen crashes and goes black 
the pc is still on but  i cant do anything..keyboard is not responding..i 
have to hard boot.and it also crashes when i do the vista Performance 
Information and tools test..it only crashes i think when doing the graphics 
test./.

Hi Kong,

This could be an issue with your video card drivers. You can download the 
latest version from the manufacturer, in your case AMD (ATI are now part of 
AMD). If possible, make sure that they are WHQL certified.

i dont know what mfdeia means but i think it has something to do with media 
foundation whatever that is,,just too complicate dfor me..

well it may be lack of ddrs ram have you check the reqiuered specs.says it 
only uses 40-45 watts so not an cpu prob. i read that some are haveing 
overclocking isses too.and be sure your vents for cooling are clean and open.
