Hi daniel and tasha,

Any RAID array will always work better when it is equipped with identical
drives. It is possible that an array with matching drives of a slower speed
will out-perform an array built of faster drives if those drives are not
matching. You can try, but for best results I would buy 2 identical drives
and use those. By identical, I mean the same manufacturer, size, speed (RPM),
cache and interface (SATA/PATA).
