Please can someone assist me i am using vista home basic , i accidently converted a folder to a file i do not know how i did this , i was working in windows explorer at the time when i did this. I urgently need to revert this file back to a folder. regards -- johnh
You have deleted the folder that the file was saved in! In Windows Explorer, under Documents, create a NEW folder(calling it what you want to), and drag and drop the file into it. Hi John, I'm sorry, but what you are saying doesn't make sense. A folder is part of the directory structure, a file is an item that is housed within a folder. One cannot suddenly become the other any more than a piece of paper can become a file cabinet. Perhaps the icon has changed? Right click on it and select Extract All to whatever folder you want it in.
