I have an item on my desktop which was created by a downloaded PPl file. I have deleted the file however the icon is still on my desktop.A right click to delete the icon says "file not found". How can I delete this icon please -- gerryr1gerry

John, thank you for your response. No help because for some reason there is no files associated with the icon hence file deleters dont work. All I have is an unassociated Icon on my desktop. -- gerryr1gerry

Tx Tom have tried that also with no luck. Tried reboot-Still there. Even tried DOS. But there is no file there. I have even prayed to Bill Gates for his divine intervention,but alas the pesky icon is still there mocking me. Any more suggestions? -- gerryr1gerry

Thanks John. I downloaded & installed "UNLOCKER 1.8.7 BY CEDRICK 'NITCH' COLLOMB (http://ccollomb.free.fr/unlocker/".) It worked just fine. Icon now gone. Thanks to all for you help -- gerryr1gerry
