Re: Advise on which version of Vista
Hi Steve,
Stick with what you have unless you have software specifically written to
take advantage of 64-bit processing and have more than 4GB of memory.
Are there features in Ultimate that you need or require? If not, there is no
point to spending money on the upgrade.
As to the other issue, that of the availability of 64-bit drivers, you
should check with the manufacturer to ensure they are available. But again,
unless you have software that is written to take advantage of it, upgrading
will not serve to enhance your user experience.

What is you reason for wanting to upgrading?
Don't know, check this list:
http://forums.microsoft.com/TechNet/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=587581&SiteID=17
Anyone with an ounce of brains quickly sees there is little advantage
in "upgrading" from Home Premium to Ultimate since the majority of
features are already included. Another way to look at it is read what
some of the wannabe "experts" claim they use, especially the bone-head
Frank, this newsgroup's resident moron and blowhard. It always makes
sense to do the exact opposite of what this phony windbag and potty
mouth suggests. He claims to use Ultimate. Therefore avoid it like the
plague.

hehehe...why not tell the op the truth, mr drunken lying pig!
Remember...how you said that you really needed Ultimate but were too
cheap to spend the extra $10-20 or so. Instead you got Business and have
had problems ever since. Remember that you stupid jackass idiot moron
POS drunken lying PIG!
My advice to everyone is to go with the top of the line, Ultimate Best
to have more than needed rather than regretting not getting enough.

Re: Advise on which version of Vista
Since his computer came with home premium 64 bit, he has no driver
problems - except for his desired older hardware. His main concern is likely
finding programs that can take full advantage of the 64 bit computer he has
purchased.

Re: Advise on which version of Vista
I suspect that the OP, like many, has confused 64-bit hardware with a 64-bit
installation. Lots of x64 systems out there, but most are delivered with the
x86 version.
