Doom 3 mouse problem in Vista
Ever since I've installed Doom 3 in Vista I haven't been able to make
the mouse work properly. The problem would be best described as the
mouse lags whenever I look around or move it on the menus making the
game practically unplayable.

The first thing I did was swap out my Logitech G9 which I thought might
be causing the problem with another cheap laser mouse and still no
difference.

I have Service Pack 1 and all the available updates including the
latest nvidia 175 driver for my 8600gt.

Maxing out the sensitivity on the mouse setting made no difference.

I've also looked for a xorg.org file which I've read should be there
and controls the mouse settings and dpi, but have not been able to find
it.

I've even tried running it in compatibility mode AND installing the
latest version of DirectX 9, though I have DX10 as well.

The game has the latest patch and runs perfectly otherwise.

I am all out of ideas.

I've had the same problem.
Just uncheck the enhance pointer precision box in your mouse pointer
options
