Security??
I've been reading some of the posts about permissions ect...I've had the
same issues...sort of.

I don't know why but Vista would not let me copy files to a network
computer. But I think I solved that
one. I was using Kaspersky internet security and believe that the default
settings were too high. Since
removing it, the problem has gone away. However, I still haven't tried to
write to the public directory on Vista (Permium by the way).

Kaspersky is a great program but it's a little bit intrusive, interefering
ect...I have it on one of my other PC's and use it to scan the network
drives from time to time. I couldn't stand the way it bogged everything
down.
Almost as bad as Norton...

But I am still having troubles with Internet explorer, some pages take
forever to open. I think it might be
in the security settings as well, looking for certificates etc...

Wouldn't it be nice if there weren't any hackers or virus writers?

My two cents...
