I am trying to delete a file from my computer. When I do so it tells me it can't be found try locating it. I tried searching for it but it never comes up. How can I delete it if the computer can't find it?
So how did you find it in the first place? "e" wrote in message news:2C89859B-D7D1-46B1-A326-CB451551B531@microsoft.com... >I am trying to delete a file from my computer. But that doesn't mean it is there, only that it was there, and the index has not yet caught up with it being gone. It should drop out of the index after a few days depending on how many files you have indexed and how much idle time the computer has.Of course, if you have shut indexing off, it will be there forever. But it in not a file on your machine, it is entry in an index to a file that was once on your machine. Forget it for a week and search again. It will likely be gone from the search, too. Good luck.
thank you wandering you are the only one that helped.
