Health Service exceeded Process\Handle Count or Private Bytes thre
Health Service exceeded Process\Handle Count or Private Bytes threshhold.
Event ID 6024 from Health Service Script.
I am reading about a hotfix KB939799 however It seems to be a pre SP1 fix
and applicable to 32bit RMS so I'm not sure it is appropriate. I only seem to
have one agent of 600 that keeps dying imediately after starting. Am I
barkinbg up the right tree here ?

What kind of workload it running on this server? What MP do you have
running on this server. You can override the threshold for this server so
it does not keep resetting.

Re: Health Service exceeded Process\Handle Count or Private Bytes
The server is an SQL server that is heavily loaded. I suspect that the health
agent runs at a lower priority thus is being blocked during times when SQL is
monopolizing resources. The MPs are Windows 2000 and SQL 2000. Are you
suggesting overrriding the health agent watcher thresholds for this one
server ? Currently set at 2 min intervals and 6 missed HBs (12 minutes).
