SCOM 2007 to SCOM 2007 SP1 upgradation issue
Hi

I have installed System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) 2007. the SCOM 2007
server is working fine and managing over 16 servers.

Recently i am trying to install SP1 RTM for SCOM 2007 (licensed version),
but I am getting error message whenever I try to install. My server
configuration is 1) windows 2003 std + SP1, 2) 2 GB RAM (have necessary
physical disk space) 3) Installed SCOM 2007 Web console and RMS (data base is
installed on different machine)

The error message i am getting is as below:

We have System Center Operations Manager 2007 installed. When we try to run
the upgrade for SP1 the installtion fails with following message

" The setup wizard was interrupted before System Center Operation Manager
2007 could be installed.
Your system has not been modified. To complete installtaion at another time,
please run setup again."

We have tried rebooting the server and running the setup again but it keeps
on showing the same message.
Please suggest me to reg rid of this error message.

Thanks,
Yogaprakash KG

Re: SCOM 2007 to SCOM 2007 SP1 upgradation issue
If setup is rolling back after a log space issue then make sure you have
increased the sizes of the databases (data and log files) as per the upgrade
instructions.

If Setup is indeed rolling back after OMCFG and OMSDK fail to start then
what has solved it for me in the past was:
1) goto c:\windows\assembly
2) Rightclick Microsoft.Mom.Common
3) Select "uninstall".
4) re-apply SP1

During the upgrade a pop-up will appear stating someting about the AEM
overrides, which can be ignored.

Cheers

Graham

Re: SCOM 2007 to SCOM 2007 SP1 upgradation issue
Hi,

thanks for the reply.

I can able to find c:\windows\assembly folder but the Microsoft.Mom.Common
file is missing inside the folder. Any help will be appreciated.

thanks,
