Installing SCOM 2007 with SP1 on Server 2003 R2 with SP2
Hi,

I was installing SCOM 2007 with SP1 on Windows Server 2003 R2 with SP2 on my
test server and encountered lots of "WMI ... Access Denied ..." related
alerts pointing to my SCOM server. However, I did not get such problems when
installing SCOM 2007 with SP1 on Windows Server 2003 with SP1.

Any feedback would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Mohammed Noor

Hi Mohammed,

What account do you use, is your management server action account local admnistrator?
Is there a local antivirus that interrupts with ops mgr?

Hi Anders,

I have tried both the Administrator and OpsMgrAdmin ID's which were both
local administrator equivalents. There is no local antivirus that is
installed on my test server.

Re: Installing SCOM 2007 with SP1 on Server 2003 R2 with SP2
Hi Anders,

I am not running my action account as local system on agent managed server.

I had set up the SCOM server with a separate server for a DC and another
server for an Exchange Server 2003.

Re: Installing SCOM 2007 with SP1 on Server 2003 R2 with SP2
Hi Anders,

Thanks for the recommendation. I had re-installed my test environment to a
Server 2003 with SP2 server for my SCOM server. I tried the use the
credentials of the Local System account when deploying the Agents and did not
encounter any issues.
