WMI Probe Module Execution alerts
I am having some problems in out environment with Operations Manager 2003
alerts.  The alerts state:

"WMI Probe Module Failed Execution", now I read on numerous forums already
that this seems to be a "known bug" which appeared after the release of
Service Pack 1. However, it is stated that this happens on only Windows 2K
Servers.

Now in my environment we only have Windows 2k3 and all the Win2k servers
have been retired. The alerts seem to be appearing only on Citrix boxes
which are on Windows2k3 Standard Edition.

Some example of the alerts that I get are:

Object enumeration failed

Query: 'SELECT * FROM MetaFrame_Server_LoadLevel WHERE
ServerName="pxxxxx123n"'

HRESULT: 0x80041001

Details: Generic failure

One or more workflows were affected by this.

Workflow name: Citrix.PresentationServer.ServerLoadBalancing.CollectionRule

Instance name: pxxxxx123n.prod.local

Instance ID: {5DBC17F8-B5F0-93B8-B2B4-D957E3B21E4E}
Management group: PRODMGMT

ServerName="pxxxxx567n"'

HRESULT: 0x80041013

Details: Provider load failure

One or more workflows were affected by this.

Workflow name: Citrix.PresentationServer.ActiveSessions.PerformanceMonitor

Instance name: pxxxxx567n.prod.local

Instance ID: {5DBC17F8-B5F0-93B8-B2B4-D957E3B21E4E}

Management group: PRODMGMT

Has anyone have any ideas as to why I am receiving a bucket load of these
alerts? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Re: WMI Probe Module Execution alerts
The Citrix MP uses WMI but due to the way that they have linked it to
licencing then the agent action account needs to be a Citrix administrator.
If you have used Local System for the agent then that will not work. What I
do is create a domain account for the action account on Citrix servers, put
that account into the Citrix admin group and ensure that account is local
admin on each Citrix server.
