Re: How should I set the threshold for the monitors in the Windows
Why is everybody pointing to that blog to that tells you to changes some
treshholds without explanation.
My idea is to shut down the SCOM server, this is the only why to get
completely rid of all your alerts.
Serious now: everytime you see problems about treshholds, you find the 2.81
and 3.31
Are these not the values of the buggy AD managment pack that is now replaced
by a new version?
My idea is that the bug with the thousand seperator and different regional
settings is part of a lot managment packs.
MS, please update all the managment packs so after more than a year and
after a SP OpsMgr can leave the early beta stage.

Re: How should I set the threshold for the monitors in the Windows
2.81 and 3.31 are simply a bit too tight of a baseline for *some* types of
perf counters... especially a counter where "normal" is "zero". These need
to be tweaked... or disabled and then replaced with a static threshold
monitor.
When you create service templates, default self-tuning thresholds are used
because we don't know what is a good handle count or thread count, or what
is normal... if you don't like the default ones, adjust them, or disabled
them and go to a static threshold monitor.
