SCOM Console not refreshing - local
We recently upgraded to SP1 RTM. A day or two ago I began to notice that my
locally installed Console was not properly refreshing: New alerts not
showing up all the time and in an efficient manner; old/closed alerts staying
on the console. I logged onto the RMS and opened the Console there (knowing
it uses a lot of memory on that system to do so) and the Console seems fine
on that system. I always open the console locally with the /clearcache
variable so that should not be the issue.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Sven

Hi Sven,

Have you also upgrade your console to SP1?

Yes, I had.
I am going to uninstall and reinstall it on my local desktop and see what
happens.
Thanks,
Sven

Re: SCOM Console not refreshing - local
An ammendement to this issue.
In working with the Console on the RMS, I've noticed the same issues now. I
close alerts and they stay on the Active Alerts screen with "closed" as the
Resolution State. We have always had a Closed Alerts container as such. If
I close the console and open it back up, the Closed alerts are gone, moved
into the Closed Alerts container and new alerts are displayed as well.

In addition, we had to upgrade the Consoles when we upgraded to SP1 RTM as
we were not able to connect until we did so.

What should I be checking?

Thanks,
Sven

Re: SCOM Console not refreshing - local
The /clearcache variable has been configured into the shortcut used to run
the console.

Thanks,
Sven
